Though they grew up only a few blocks from each other in a small Midwestern town, Huns & Dr. Beeker never really knew each other until they met musically. When they finally did play together for the first time, they were amazed. It sounded like they had been singing together all their lives! Milwaukee Area Bluegrass Music Association (MABMA) is a nonprofit, volunteer organization dedicated to the preservation, enjoyment and promotion of bluegrass music in southeastern Wisconsin.  The group holds monthly meetings and jam sessions on the second Sunday of each month at Boarders Bookstore in the River Point Shopping Center.

An eclectic blend of original folk/swing/american grass music featuring various combinations of acoustic instruments with accordion/keyboard accompaniment. Featured musicians include John "capo" Spitzer on the jumbo Gibson guitar and helping out with the bottom side of vocals, Jeff "Uncle Dave" Kramer on stand up bass, Scott Mc Cormick on the accordion and keyboard and back up vocals, Elias Goldstein on violin, Eric Sheffield helped out with percussion and Brian "Looper" Lucas not only worked the sound room but sat in with a little harp on one of the tunes. When asked to describe the music I guess it's best summed up as Terry Murphy music, all original. The spirit of the recording was to catch the vibe of the session with minimal takes and dubbing. It captured the synergy between musicians and allowed for creative, often unrehearsed, leads and grooves adding up to the final product. The songs were fine tuned, mixed and mastered by Brian Lucas, who was great to work with as he provided candid feedback to musicians while creating and allowing an environment where players could get comfortable and relaxed.
